Hi
I just love hockey and, if you are reading this, you probably share my passion for the world’s greatest sport.
I founded TalkHockeyRadio in 2005 after writing for the old Hockey Sport magazine for ten years. Podcasting was in its infancy as the last editions of Hockey Sport were being published and, using the experience gained freelancing for local radio, I started podcasting from the Indoor Finals at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham in January 2006. A few months later, at the suggestion of some fellow hockey writers, I started the on-line magazine HockeyTalk.
Most of the photographs on this site are mine, although I am grateful to Ady Kerry, Frank Uijlenbroek and Dan Carsons for helping me out when there has been a gap in my extensive catalogue. The photography side of things has become increasingly important and three years ago we moved our images onto a separate site at www.HockeyImages.co.uk.
I have had a lot of help from a lot of people over the last few years and contributors have included a number of professional journalists who have provided us with material free of charge to help promote this wonderful sport of ours. My particular thanks go to our current sponsors, Mercian Hockey, whose help makes many of our activities possible. We hope you will support them as you have supported us.
Enjoy your hockey and enjoy this site!

The European Championships in Monchengladbach in August 2011 gave us the rare opportunity to gather together some of the key TalkHockeyRadio people in one place for a ‘team’ photograph.
